Chefs! I mean Little chefs! My today’s recipe is all about you, young stars. You guys want to know why? Because this recipe is mostly created by my 11 years old daughter. So, dedicating you all future bakers out there, I’m just writing down (created by my daughter) a dessert recipe without butter with you guys. Let’s check out.

Chocolate Cake Recipe Without Butter:

We want you all to enjoy this decadent, moist chocolate dessert without butter or eggs. Here comes another exciting part is, there is no mixer needed for this recipe. Dust it with powdered sugar for decorating with cocoa powder.

Ingredients we Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder (preferably Dutch-processed)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda (not baking powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of cool water
  • 6 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice or distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

How to Make Cake Without Butter Step by Step:

Step 1: First of all, you need to preheat the oven at the temperature of 350° F.

Step 2: Prepare a cake pan by greasing it with a non-stick cooking spray.

Step 3: Take a large mixing bowl, and sieve dry ingredients: 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of sugar, ¼ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tsp of baking soda, plus ½ tsp of salt into that bowl.

Step 4: Take another mixing bowl, and pour 1 cup of cool water, 6 tbsp of vegetable oil, 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice (If you don’t have lemon juice, then use white vinegar), and 1 tsp of vanilla extract.

Step 5: Add the liquid mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients. gently stir with a whisk until there are no lumps. It won’t take more than 1 minute.

Step 6: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or more if needed. To check whether it is completely baked or not, insert a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, then the cake is ready.

Step 7: Remove from the oven, and let cool completely in the pan.

Dust with chocolate glaze, and powdered sugar for garnish.

Notes: Prepare the chocolate glaze with 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 Tbsp. of cocoa powder, 1/2 tsp. of vanilla, plus about 4 tsp. of milk. I frost only the top – right in the pan.

Conclusion:

This is the easiest recipe among no butter desserts recipes so far. I won’t say anything about taste. Cause, you will smell the taste while preparing.
