How to Cook Fresh Apple Sheet Cake?

With this recipe, you can enjoy the super moist texture that is quite sweet and tart, also plenty of juicy apple bite. The extra part of it is the layer of thinly sliced apples. That’s what makes it so delicious. Apart from this, the fruit sheet cake is loved by everyone. Must give it a try.

Apple Slab Cake Ingredients:

1 Cup of Unsalted Butter

2 Cups of Packed Dark Brown Sugar or 3 Cups of Light Brown Sugar

3 Apples

2 Eggs

2 Cups of Apple Butter

3 Tsp of Vanilla Extract

2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour

1 Tsp of Baking Powder

1 Tsp of Baking Soda

½ Tsp of Kosher Salt or Sea Salt

1 ½ Cup of Dried Apples, Roughly Chopped

Maple Icing for Topping

Apple Pie Spice (Optional)

Ground Cinnamon (Optional)

Methods of Preparing Easy Moist Delicious Apple Sheet Cake Step by Step:

Step 1: Set the oven for preheating at the temperature of 350 degrees F or 176.67 degrees C. 

Step 2: Grease a baking pan with a cooking spray. The measurement is better be 13x9x2-inch. Set the baking pan aside. 

Step 3: Now, you need to peel, core and crassly shred one apple, then thinly slice the remaining 2 apples. You must remove the seeds. Cover the sliced apples and set aside. 

Step 4: Bring out a large bowl and add 2 cups of unsalted butter, and 2 cups of brown sugar. Whisk until combined. 

Step 5: Pour the eggs, 2 cups of apple butter, 3 tsp of vanilla extract and whisk finely until you get a nice smooth batter. 

Step 6: In another bowl, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking powder,1/2 tsp of kosher salt, and 1 tsp of baking soda. Mix them all together. 

Step 7: Put the dry mixture into the wet mixture and get them combined. 

Step 8: Now, fold in 1 ½ cups of dried apples. 

Step 9: Finely spread the batter into the greased pan. Tap to make sure there is no bubble hole left. 

Step 10: Arrange the thinly sliced apples carefully over the batter. 

Step 11: Place the baking pan to the preheated oven. Keep it in the middle rack and bake for 40 minutes. By this time the cake should be turned into a fine golden color. 

Step 12: Insert a toothpick to check whether it is completely done or not. If it comes out clean then the cake is done. 

Step13: Remove from oven and place into the wire rack to let it cool. Spoon the maple icing over the medium hot cake. 

Step 14: Using a pastry brush, spread evenly and let cool completely. 

Dust with either apple pie spice or ground cinnamon for the flavor and look. This is completely optional. Serve and enjoy with your family members.

How to Prepare Maple Icing:

This is easy if you have the ingredients at home. 

Ingredients we Need: 

1 Tsp of Melted Butter

1 Tbsp of Maple Syrup

½ Cup of Powdered Sugar

¼ Tsp of Vanilla Extract

1 Tbsp of Milk


Step 1: Take out a small bowl and stir together 1 tbsp of melted butter and ½ cup of powdered sugar. 

Step 2: Add 1 tbsp of milk and whisk until smooth. 

Step 3: Then add 1 tbsp of maple syrup and ¼ tsp of vanilla. Mix them all together in order to have smooth icing.
