Method of Preparing Steam Bag Recipes Step by Step:

Step 1: To keep a Medium or Large Ziploc Zip ‘n Steam bag open, fold the top edge out and down. 2 eggs, cracked right into the bag (Alternatively, crack the eggs into a small bowl and pour them into the bag.)

Step 2: Fill the bag with the remaining ingredients. Close the bag.

Step 3: Break the yolks by squeezing the eggs. Continue squeezing or lightly shaking the bag until all of the contents are evenly distributed.

Step 4: Put the bag in the microwave. Cook for 2 1/2 minutes on maximum power, or until the eggs are fully cooked and firm throughout, with no liquid egg left. 

Step 5: Continue microwaving at 30-second intervals until the omelet is done if necessary. Allow 1 minute for the bag to rest before opening. Open the bag carefully and slide the omelet out.

Step 6: Serve with tortilla, sour cream, and salsa. Fold the tortilla over the omelet, salsa, and sour cream.

How to Steam Vegetables in a Ziploc Bag?

Ziploc bags can also be used as microwave steam bags.

Ingredients that You Will Need Are:

Half a Cup of Diced Broccoli

Half a Cup of Diced Cauliflower

Method of Preparing Steam in a Bag Broccoli Step by Step:

Step 1: Any large veggies, such as broccoli or cauliflower, should be chopped into bite-sized pieces and placed in a microwave-safe plastic bag.

Step 2: Seal the Ziploc bag 3/4 of the way across, but leave a little opening for the steam to escape.

Step 3: Place the bag in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high.

Step 4: Allow the steam to escape and the bag to cool down by opening the door. Check to see if the vegetables are fully cooked. Cook for another minute if necessary. Serve right away.

How to Steam Frozen Vegetables without a Steamer

For frozen vegetables, you have to spray some water on the vegetables. Put them in a Ziploc bag and microwave for a longer amount of time. The results will turn out to be the same.

And the best part is, steamed vegetables can be used in other dishes too. So, if you steam vegetables, you can later on use them on other dishes by cooking them in different ways. 

You can put the vegetables in the Ziploc bag, spray some water on them, and put it in the microwave. Turn the oven on and let the vegetables get steamed.
