¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper

¼ Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 Cup Oil for Frying

1 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley Chopped

How to Make the Best Onion Rings?

Step 1: Start with peeling the onion and trim off the ends. Cut the onion with a sharp knife crosswise into ½ inch thick slices.  Then separate all the slices to make rings, remove the trim rings, and set them aside for various purposes.

Step 2: Take a large bowl and add buttermilk, add onions, and soak it for a minimum of an hour.

Step 3: Next, take a deep pot, add 1 cup or more as you think better oil in the pot, and heat it to 375 degrees F.

Step 4: Take a separate bowl and add ¾ cup of all-purpose flour in the bowl; mix beer, salt, garlic powder, and pepper in the bowl. Mix them gently but ensure all ingredients well combine.

Step 5:  Remove rings from the buttermilk and set them aside to let the excess drip off. Coat onion rings with the prepared flour and then dip them into the batter.

Step 6: Now, you will need to fry the rings, but avoid frying more than 8 rings at a time. Add onion rings in the oil and let them fry for 3minutes to 4 minutes until they got golden brown.

Step 7: Repeat the same process for each of the remaining onion rings. Never add more than 8 even in a hurry; otherwise, rings may break.

Step 8: Once all rings are fried, take them out in a serving dish, sprinkle the parsley over the onion rings, and serve them immediately.
