Step 1:

In a food mixer, pour all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt and blend properly. Then add in the butter sticks and the ice water and blend for a couple of minutes to make the outer dough crust. 

Step 2:

Prepare a dough ball and divide it into two pieces. Then in a large bowl, take the dough and wrap it with plastic to chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Step 3:

Meanwhile, it’s time to prepare the inner layer of the crusty pie. In a large bowl take the chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and cornstarch. Stir the mixture properly and also add lemon juice while whisking.

Step 4:

Take out the dough ball and bring it to room temperature to get a soft texture. Then place the dough in a baking pan greased with flour and press the dough properly to align with the surface of the pan. 

Step 5:

Step 6:

Press the upper dough crust gently with hands and cover the baking pan with foil paper. Then put it in a preheated baking pan under 350 degrees for 45 minutes until the upper crust gets a brownish texture.
