I have been doing this for years. Recently, I have seen a girl is looking for the authentic recipe of this dish. So, why not I share my recipe with them? Just have a look and I’m sure you will love this.

Ingredients we Need:

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 tsp of Kosher salt, for seasoning
  • 3 tbsp of steak sauce
  • 3 tbsp of worcestershire sauce
  • 2 medium eggs
  • ½ tsp of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 large shallot, finely chopped
  • 4 oz. of button mushrooms
  • 3 slices of Monterey jack cheese
  • 1 tsp of Kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp of freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp of garlic powder

Instructions for Preparing Step by Step:

Step 1:

Take a large mixing bowl, add there 1 lb of ground beef, 1 tsp of Kosher salt, 3 tbsp of A-1 steak sauce (you can have any steak sauce, but I prefer this), and 3tbsp of worcestershire sauce. Mix them finely until they mix with each and every ingredient finely.

Step 2:

In another small bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of black pepper and salt. Then pour it into the sausage mixture.

Step 3:

Now, set the oven for preheating at the temperature of 400 degrees F.

Step 4:

It’s time to give the ground sausage mixture a shape. Mix them by hand like a dough and loosely shape into 3 football-shaped patties.

Step 5:

Take out a stove-top skillet, and brush with extra virgin olive oil. Over medium flame, sear both sides of the patties until light brown.

Step 6:

Remove the patties from skillet and place them on an aluminium foil covered broiler pan to make sure, there is no extra grease.

Step 7:

Place the broiler pan in the preheated (400 degree) oven abd set the timer for 12-15 minutes.

Step 8:

Finally, over that skillet, pour 3 tbsp of olive oil. Add chopped shallot, and cook on medium heat until they are tender.

Step 9:

Add 4 oz. of button mushrooms, and season with salt and pepper. Over high heat, cook for 3 minutes.

Step 10:

Lowering the heat to medium-low, sprinkle ¼ tsp of garlic powder. You will notice a different frangrance this time. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes or until the mushroom starts to get tender.

Step 11:

Removing from heat, just top the steaks with the fine onion mushroom mix.

Step 12:

Place the cheese slices over each one. Just put the dish back to oven to melt the cheese. It will take not more than 2 minutes.

Removing from oven, serve hot. The cheesy texas roadhouse mushrooms with ground beef is right before you to enjoy.
