The crispy breaded layer of cooked pasta and the savory creamy cheese entrée dipped in fancy marinara or Alfredo sauce surprises many.  It perfectly enhances one’s appetite for main dishes on the menu.

How to make Stuffed Ziti Fritta?

Though Ziti fritta is on the name but rigatoni pasta could be the best choice for you as it is larger in size and easier to stuff. The pasta is needed to cook lesser than the usual time mentioned on the packet. After you packed them with the cheese blends, you need to roll them over bread crumb and line on a tray. As soon as you finish breading the whole batch, freeze them at least for 30 minutes.

Fry this harder pasta until they are golden brown. When fried, with that heat outside, the cheese will melt inside and come out as a gooey yummy surprise in your first bite.

Ingredients we need

  • Rigatoni pasta as many you need
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Cream Cheese, softened with a fork
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Shredded Romano Cheese,
  • Eggs
  • All-purpose Flour
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil

Method of preparing Ziti Fritta step by step

Step 1: Boil the rigatoni pasta two minute lesser than suggested on the package.

Step 2: Strain the boiled pasta that excess water gets drained properly. Toss them into olive oil.

Step 3: Put ricotta cheese, mozzarella, cream cheese, parmesan, and Romano cheese into a large bowl and stir to combine into one mixture.

Step 5: Fill one side of the cooked rigatoni with the cheese blend. Flip and fill the other side.

Step 6: Line the filled rigatoni on a cookie sheet or parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes.

Step 7: Coat the rigatoni one at a time with flour, and dip in beaten egg carefully

Step 8: Coat the rigatoni finally with bread crumbs.

Step 9: Heat the oil at 350 degrees F and put 3 to 6 pieces of breaded rigatoni down into the hot oil using a slotted spoon. Fry each batch for 3 minutes and look for the golden brown texture outside. Do the same for the rest.

Step 10: Line them on a paper towel that excess oil gets wiped out properly.
