San Giorgio Lasagna Recipe:

The absolute mouth-watering San Giorgio lasagna tastes heavenly good. All ingredients are quite available and with the great number of cheeses, you will find this recipe lovey-dovey for any special event.

I’m using here 3 types of cheeses to make it perfectly cheesy among all san Giorgio pasta recipes. Here is the written recipe.

Ingredients we Need:

  • 16 oz. of lasagna pasta
  • 1 lb. of ground beef
  • 24 oz. of pasta sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 2 cups of ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper

Method of Preparing Step by Step:

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2:

In a saucepan, pour vegetable oil and add ground beef. Brown the beef and drain.

Step 3:

Now, add the pasta sauce that will make the meat more flavorful and juicy. Cook for 10 minutes, lowering the heat to a simmer.

Step 4:

By this time prepare the lasagna pasta as per packet directions. Drain and let the pasta cool at room temperature, laying them flat.

Step 5:

In a glass bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the cheeses with chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Whisk all the ingredients well, hence your cheese mixture is prepared.

Step 6:

Now, gently spread the meat-sauce mixture at the bottom of a baking dish.

Step 7:

Place lasagna pasta horizontally over the meat-sauce mixture, overlapping the edges.

Step 8:

Generously spread the cheese mixture on the top of the pasta. Repeat the layer with the remaining ingredients.

Step 9:

Cover the baking dish with foil paper, and bake for 40 minutes.

Step 10:

Remove the foil paper. Then bake for another 10 minutes.

When done, let the lasagna stand for 10 minutes’ minimum. Then slice your lasagna into square sizes and serve to enjoy hot.

Easy Tips for all SanGiorgio Recipes:

  • Keep an eye while cooking the pasta whether for ziti or lasagna. Cause, the mushy pasta is quite irritating to eat up. So, keep checking, it doesn’t take more than 9 minutes to reach the stage of al Dante.
  • For preparing bakes ziti, if ziti pasta is not available, you can use rigatoni or penne instead.
  • In lieu of chopped parsley, dried basil, or oregano, you can use Italian seasoning, just in the amount of 2 tsp.
  • Spaghetti sauce is the best option for baked ziti. But you can also use marinara sauce, tomato sauce instead.

Conclusion:

Whether in family gatherings or picnics, the baked ziti is the best side dish or staple food ever. With lots of cheeses and sauces, and meat (or egg) you will feel a floating sensation while consuming it. So preparing the dishes following the recipes, will make your time worth and please your hungry tummy to the fullest.
