Rattle Snake Pasta Recipe

Rattle Snake Pasta Recipe

Last year, I caught a rattlesnake from my backyard. I got you there, didn’t I? No, I neither cooked a rattlesnake for my dinner nor the pasta contains rattlesnake. Then why such a dramatic name? I don’t know either.

But let me tell you, it’s one of the delicious meals I’ve prepared in a while with rattle snake pasta recipe. This rattle snake pasta actually contains creamy chicken with Cajun seasoning.

Now, would you rather devour “Creamy Chicken Pasta with Cajun seasoning” or “Rattle Snake Pasta”? Well, I might get a second thought for the rattlesnake, but sure to say, at the end of the day, you eat name first, then the dish.

Now, let’s jump into how to make rattle snake pasta and how to devour it. Captains aboard!

Rattle Snake Pasta Recipe:

I visited Missouri last year and heard about this restaurant on 54th street in Kansas. This is where I was first introduced to the rattle snake tagliatelle dish. Don’t ask me about my first impression.

Let’s instead get into the pasta. There are mainly two types of pasta noodles; Tagliatelle and Fettucine. The Tagliatelle type is more flat-rolled than being thick and wide as Fettucine. You can use both with no worries. I will be using Tagliatelle here in the rattlesnake pasta 54th street recipe.

Ingredients we Need:

  • 1 lb of boneless chicken, cube cut
  • 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1 lb of tagliatelle pasta
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of minced onion
  • 3-4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 sliced red pepper
  • 1 serrano pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes
  • salt to taste

How to Make Rattle snake Pasta Step by Step:

Step 1:

I am starting with the 1 lb of tagliatelle pasta. Brought a large pot, added a bit of salt, placed the pasta along with chopped serrano pepper, and left for 8 to10 minutes. Seems like cooked, alright. Put it off and drain.

Step 2:

Let’s come to the chicken. Coating the cube cut piece of chicken with Cajun seasoning. Getting a skillet and added 1 tbsp of butter. Melted? Now, add the chicken pieces. Stir it for 7-8 minutes until cooked well. Put it off.

Step 3:

Taking the skillet again. Heating up the oil. Time to saute onion, garlic over medium settings. Stirring for 5 minutes until the ingredients are firm enough. Chopping the boiled serrano pepper and add it with them. Pour the cream along with Parmesan and giving it a good stirring.

Step 4:

Now, for the cooked tagliatelle and the chicken. Placing it in the mixture and mixing it well. Left to simmer for 3-4 minutes max. Put it off. Done almost.

Serving myself on a plate. Poured some sauce, and that’s it!

Uno’s Rattlesnake Pasta Recipe:

Now here is another one I admire. This rattlesnake past I enjoyed at Pizzeria Uno is pretty much spot on. You will know when the jalapenos hit you on the right spot. I will be using penne pasta here for unos rattlesnake pasta

Ingredients we Need:

  • 1 lb of boneless chicken, cube cut
  • 3 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb of penne pasta
  • 3-4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of white pepper
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3 sliced jalapeno peppers.
  • Salt to taste

Methods of Preparing Step by Step:

Step 1:

I am starting with the penne again. Brought a large pot, added a bit of salt, placed the pasta, and left for 8-10 minutes. Put it off and drain.

Step 2:

Let’s come to the chicken now. Coating the cube cut piece of chicken with Italian seasoning this time. Getting a skillet and added 2 tbsp of butter. Melted? Now, adding the minced garlic and stir it for 1 minute. Watch out, don’t let the garlic burn out. Adding the chicken now. Stir it for 7-8 minutes until it’s cooked well. Put it off.

Step 3:

Getting the skillet again. Melting 2 tbsp of butter now. It’s the easy part. Put ¼ cup of flour, salt, and 1 tsp of white pepper all at once, stir, stir and stir. 2 minutes have passed? Pour the 2 cups of milk and stir constantly. By 5-6 minutes, it will be thickened.

Step 4:

What’s left? The cheese, I guess. Add ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese and stir well till melts. Adding 1 lb of the chicken now along with 3 sliced jalapeno peppers. Smells are about to come out.

Step 5:

Get the pasta. Toss it with the mixture. Please be careful while tossing.

What do you get? I know, right. At least not a rattlesnake anywhere. The amazing dish is ready to serve. Enjoy them with your family members, or guests. Surprise them telling the name and after that the history.

Conclusion:

That’s it there, folks. My most favorite two rattlesnake recipes. Pour up some wine and turn on that Jazz. Now, if you like more cheese, just simply add more of it! No restrictions for adding cheeses here. Enjoying thyself is the main thing here. Bon Appetit! Till next time.
