Pork Long Rice Recipe:

As it’s a Hawaii recipe, I didn’t have all the ingredients available at home. So, I ordered them from the nearest grocery store. Don’t worry; the ingredients are widely available. Here, I’m sharing with you the shoyu pork long rice recipe. Though some people use regular soy sauce instead of shoyu, I used it to get the original flavor. So, first, have a look at the required ingredients and then proceed to cook.

Ingredients we Need:

  • 2 pounds of pork cut in strips
  • 1 packet bean thread noodles
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 mint, cilantro, basil
  • 4 large mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoon Aloha shoyu soy sauce
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make Pork Long Rice Step by Step:

Step 1: Boil the pork in a large bowl with garlic, shoyu, salt, and pepper. After 30 minutes, check if the pork is tendered. If yes, take the pork out of the bowl, and keep it in a pot for a few minutes.

Step 2: Now, put the onion, ginger, and mushrooms into the bowl and stir them in medium heat. Again add the pork into the mix. Continue to simmer.

Step 3: In a second bowl, boil rice thread noodles for 15-20 minutes. After draining the water, add them to the pork mix.

Step 4: Add fresh herbs and cook until the pork is fully tendered. Taste to see if everything is okay.

Now serve the pork long rice on a large plate. The long rice noodles look amazing. You can add some salads to the menu. Besides, add some cabbage to the plate for decorations. The scent of the dish will definitely increase your hunger. So, serve it soon.

Conclusion:

You can try this pork long rice recipe anytime in your home. It serves excellent in both lunch and dinner. You also can add some chicken to the recipe if you want to have chicken long rice.

Add them when stirred onions. Let them tender, and then add pork. Not to mention, my family members liked the item so much and asked me to try it often. I hope you like it too.
