My whole family is a big fan of dixie stampede soup. So, I wanted to share the recipes with you, one exactly copycat and another recreated one so that you can prepare them anytime. Let’s jump to the recipe.

How to Make Dixie Stampede Soup?

This is one of my favorite recipes. Whenever I prepare them at home, everyone gets super excited. I shared this recipe to my neighbours also, they loved it. The soup becomes so creamy and moist that your family members will fight over it. Let’s see the recipe.

Ingredients we Need:

3 Tbsp of Salted Butter or Margarine

1⁄2 Tsp of Onion Powder

1⁄2 Tsp of Garlic Powder

1 Tsp of Corn Syrup

3 Tbsp of All-Purpose Flour

1⁄4 Tsp of White Pepper

1⁄2 Tsp of Kosher Salt

1⁄2 Cup of Chicken Broth

1 1⁄2 Cups of Water

3⁄4 Cup of Finely Chopped Cooked Potatoes or Canned Potatoes

1 Cup of Finely Diced Canned Carrot or Cooked Carrot

2 Cups of Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half Cream

Finely Chopped Fresh Parsley, for Garnish

Methods of Preparing Copycat Dixie Stampede Soup Step by Step

Step 1: Take out a large saucepot (3-quart) and add 3 tbsp of butter over medium heat.

Step 2: When the butter is finely melted, add ½ tsp of onion powder, ½ tsp of garlic powder and give it a good stir.

Step 3: Now, pour 1 tsp of corn syrup. This is a must to infuse the best flavour. Simmer for 1 minute and don’t get it browned.

Step 4: Now, add 3 tbsp of all-purpose flour, ½ tsp of kosher salt and ¼ tsp of white pepper. Stirring to finely combine with other ingredients.

Step 5: Pour ½ cup of chicken broth, whisking to get rid of crumbles. Also, pour 1 ½ cup of water.

Step 6: Add ¾ cups of finely chopped canned potatoes, 1 cup of finely diced canned carrots. Cover the saucepot with a lid and let simmer for 3 minutes to 5 minutes.

Step 7: Pour 2 cups of heavy cream and let cook until you get desired consistency. Stir constantly and don’t allow it to boil.

Remove from heat and ladle to the serving bowl, garnishing with chopped parsley!

Dixie Stampede’S Vegetable Cream Soup Recipe:

This is another recipe for vegetable cream soups if you don’t have canned vegetables around. This recipe is full of substitutes so you can prepare with whatever you have in the kitchen and fridge.

I’m not using corn syrup here, instead I’m using sweet corn. Also, peas because it also tastes good in vegetable soup. Let’s learn the procedure.

½ Cup of Canned Green Beans

½ Cup of Carrots, Peeled & Finely Grated

¼ Cup of Potatoes, Cubed

4 Cups of Chicken Broth

½ Tsp of Garlic Powder

½ Tsp of Onion Powder

1½ Cups of Heavy Whipping Cream

¼ Cup of Finely Chopped Onion

1 Tsp of Salt Plus More to Taste

½ Tsp of Freshly Ground Black Pepper

2 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil.

2 Tbsp of Butter

2 Tbsp of Minced Garlic

½ Cup of Water

Methods of Preparing Dixie Stampede Creamy Vegetable Soup Step by Step:

Step 1: In a large heavy bottomed saucepan or Dutch oven, add 2 tbsp of butter and 2 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Step 2: Add 2 tbsp of minced garlic and stir until fragrant.

Step 3: Now, add ¼ cup of finely chopped onion, stir for 1 minute or until translucent.

Step 4: One by one add the vegetables: ½ cup of carrot, ¼ cup of potatoes, ½ cup of frozen peas, ½ cup of sweet corn, and ½ cup of green beans. Stir for 2 minutes.

Step 5: Sprinkle ½ tsp of onion powder and ½ tsp of garlic powder

Step 9: After 10 minutes add 1 ½ cup of heavy whipping cream and cook until you get perfect consistency.

Remove from heat and serve!

Conclusion:

I would suggest you try both of them. If you want to have it as a light meal then pair with cheddar biscuits. For thanksgiving, Christmas dinner or any type of get together, this is one of the best served appetizers. Surely, your guests will love it. Experience new recipes with me and bon appetit!
