Yesterday I didn’t feel like cooking anything new for being too lazy. But I was hungry; so, I opened the fridge and noticed that I have gathered many leftovers. An idea quickly crossed my mind, thus I decided to research a little.
After that, I started preparing something new that I had never tried before. So, today I’m sharing this cantonese fried rice recipe with you guys so that you can always enjoy a hectic day with flavorful dishes.

Classic Fried Rice Recipe:
I have prepared this dish with whatsoever I had in my kitchen and fridge. You can prepare this as per yours. Just learn the basic method and the directions. I think this is how you can surprise your family members with amazing quick dishes.
Ingredients we Need:
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of finely chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, roughly minced
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup of cooked meat, thoroughly diced
- 3 cups of cooked rice
- ¾ cup of green onions, sliced
- 1 cup of bean sprouts
- 4 tbsp of low sodium soy sauce
How to Make Mandarin Fried Rice Step by Step:
Step 1: Bring out a large skillet, and add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2: When the oil is hot, add 1 cup of finely chopped onion, and saute the onions over the same heat for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Add the minced garlic, and stir in for 1 minute more.
Step 4: With the spatula, put the sautéed onions and garlic aside, add 3 eggs. Sprinkling a pinch of salt, stir and scrumble the eggs until completely firm.
Step 5: After that, stir eggs, onions, and garlic together for 2 minutes.
Step 6: Add the cooked meat and ¾ cup of green onions. Toss and stir them very finely until they are completely mixed.
Step 7: Then add 3 cups of cooked rice and coat with the meat-veg mixture finely.
Step 8: Removing from heat, add 1 cup of bean sprouts and 4 tbsp of soy sauce, and mix finely.
Transfer to a serving bowl, and serve hot. The cantonese recipe is extremely flexible. You can add up other optional veggies like sliced mushrooms, sliced water chestnuts, finely sliced celery, grated carrots, finely chopped green pepper, finely tattered cabbage, slivered almonds, etc.
Conclusion:
Whether classic or hong kong style fried rice, this can be prepared with anything. The recipe is extremely flexible; you can add up your cultural flavor. If you have the option, then add up ½ tsp of sesame oil at first with the vegetable oil. Cause it provides fried rice spicy some extra tang.
