This Blarney Stone Bar Recipe always makes me nostalgic. When I was young, papa and mom used to make it together. When I found out today we would have this, I didn’t go out that day rather I stayed at home, watching them cooking. Now, they are so proud of me for becoming a chef. A sweet story, isn’t it?

Recipe of Blarney Stone Dessert

Ingredients we Need:

  • 1/2 cup of butter or ½ cup of margarine, softened at room temperature 
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature and lightly beaten 
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour or self-rising flour
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of Kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup of English toffee bits
  • 1/3 cup of chopped pecans
  • 4 drops of green food coloring
  • 3/4 cup of vanilla frosting
  • 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp of 2% milk
  • 3/4 cup of quick-cooking oats

How to Make Blarney Stones Step by Step:

Step 1: Take out a large mixing bowl, and add ½ cup of butter along with ¾ cup of packed brown sugar. Keep creaming it until they are finely light and fluffy. 

Step 2: In that bowl. Beat 2 eggs in 1 tsp of 2% milk and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. 

Step 3: Gradually combine ¾ cups of all-purpose flour, ¾ cups of quick cooking oats, and ½ tsp of baking powder. Better be sieve them finely. Fold them into the cream gently.

Step 4: Fold them in ¾ cup of English toffee bits together with 1/3 cup of chopped pecans. 

Step 5: Grease a 9-inch square baking pan, then spread the mixture into it. 

Step 6: Set the oven temperature at 350 degrees F and timer for 25 minutes. 

Step 7: Insert a toothpick after 25 minutes. Cook it on a wire rack. 

Step 8: Now, finally add 4 drops of green food coloring. Spread them over the cooked bars, then cut into diamond shapes.
