How to Make the Big Red Cake?

This sounds interesting when a cake is baked with a can of Big Red! Let’s put some effort to unveil this soda cake recipe without any delay!

Big Red Soda Ingredients

For cake:

  • One box of red cake mix
  • One cup water
  • Three eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable Oil

For Big Red Sauce:

  • One small box cherry gelatin
  • One Can Big Red
  • One cup boiling water for Gelatin

For cake Frosting

  • One box (3.4 ounce) Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • One box (8 ounce) tub frozen whipped topping or fresh whipping cream
  • Two cups of milk

How to Make Big Red Cake Step by Step:

Preheat oven to 350 °F. Take a 9×13 inch baking pan and spray non-stick cooking spray or grease the pan thoroughly with butter. 

Making the big red Soda Cake:

Step 1: Take a large bowl and combine all wet ingredients such as water, oil, and eggs. Mix well. Beat with an electric beater for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 2: Pour the cake batter into the baking pan. Spread the batter evenly.

Step 3: Put the pan inside the oven and bake for 34 to 38 minutes. Use a toothpick to check whether the cake is done properly. If the tooth pick comes up clean, the cake is ready.

Step 4: Poke holes on the cake keeping about ½ inch distance in between each holes.

Set aside to cool.

For Big Red Sauce: 

Step 1: In a large bowl, mix pudding and milk. Whisk until well combined.

Step 2: Now add cool whip to pudding mixture and stir well.

Step 3: With a spatula spread pudding and cool whip mixture thoroughly over the top of the cake.

For Whipped Frosting:

In a large bowl, mix pudding and milk. Whisk until blended altogether.

Now add cool whip to pudding blend and stir well.

With a spatula spread pudding and cool whip mixture thoroughly over the top of the cake.

Keep in fridge for at least four hours.
