Soybean Flour Recipes

Soybeans are a great source of protein for vegetarians. Also, this belongs to the bean family, so partially, this is not a vegetable. The flour from it is gluten-free, best for people who have allergy issues.

If you are thinking of exploring the gluten-free, vegetarian world, the soybean flour recipes are calling out your name. For me, I was pleasantly surprised to get so many good results from this flour.

Being with allergies, I need to enjoy something that caters to my diet as well. If you want recipes that are low in carbs and fat, fear not; I am here today with some of the best gluten-free dishes. Let’s jump into it.

Soy Flour Bread

As I have mentioned earlier, soy flour is rich in protein; it has a risk of being dry. This is amazing because the soy flour bread is not dry at all. The texture is slightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

This gluten-free and non-grain flour resembles the typical almond flour-based bread. Without further delay, let’s jump into the soy flour bread recipe.

  • 1 cup of soy flour
  • 1/2 cup of oat flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/3 cup of butter
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 4 medium-sized eggs
  • 1 tsp of xantham gum
  • 1/4 cup of flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp of stevia
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

Methods of preparing step by step:

Step 1: Start with the oven. Preheat it to 350F.

Step 2: Take a bowl and a whisk. Use a sieve for 1 cup of soy flour and 1/2 cup of oat flour. Nowadays, there are more and more recipes using soy flour. Come back to the mixture. Whisk the flour well with 2 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp of xantham gum, 1/4 cup flaxseed, 1 tbsp or 2 packets of stevia, and 1/2 tsp of salt.

Step 3: Add 4 medium-sized eggs, 2 tbsp of olive oil, and 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Whisk it gently till well combined.

Step 4: Off to the oven now. Place the mixture in a greased loaf pan. Bake it for 35-40 minutes. It might even take longer until you observe the golden brown color.

Step 5: Take it off the oven. Let it cool down to room temperature. Enjoy!

Soy Flour Cake

I studied through a couple of cake recipes, but I must tell you that cooking with soy flour has never been this fun. This cake turned out soft and fluffy just the way you want it. And let me tell you, soy flour cakes recipes may turn you into a lover overnight. Let’s jump into the recipe without further delay.

  • 150 grams of soy flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 diced large apple
  • 4 medium-sized eggs
  • 2 tbsp of plain soy yogurt

Methods of Preparing Step by Step:

Step 1: Start with the oven. Preheat it to 325 F.

Step 2: Take a blender and pour the diced apples. Separate the egg whites from the 4 eggs and pour them into the blender as well. Blend it until it reaches a smooth consistency. This will turn out to be an apple smoothie. You can substitute the apple with pears, dried peaches, or strawberries.

Step 3: Take a large bowl. Use a sieve for the 150 grams of flour, combine it with 2 tsp of baking powder and 1 cup of brown sugar. After that, pour the apple smoothie and add 2 tbsp of soy yogurt. Stir well.

Step 4: Now line a square baking pan with a greased baking sheet. Transfer the batter into the pan and place it in the oven. You can add chocolate chips or raising over the batter, or even mix with it. Bake it for about 45 minutes.

Step 5: Take it off the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Sprinkle some caster sugar if you want.

So that is one of my favorite soy flour recipes. A perfect item for the afternoon while the sun sets. Bon Appetit!

Soy Flour Dumplings

This dumpling recipe is one of my favorite soy flour dessert recipes. This recipe was originated in Japan. The chewy dumpling is mainly made of rice flour balls and then dusted with a sweet and salty roasted soybean powder or Kinako.

This kinako resembles beach sand. Surely, doesn’t taste like though. It is so sweet and yummy. The texture is sticky, chewy, and fluffy. These dumplings are a healthy dessert.

It is slightly high in calories but low in fat and high in proteins. The ingredients are super easy to find, not to worry about anything.

  • 1 cup of rice flour
  • 1/2 cup of cold water
  • 1/2 cup of sweet soy flour or Kinako
  • 2 tbsp of caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of kosher salt

Methods of Preparing Step by Step:

Step 1: Start with a pot. Pour some water and bring it to boil.

Step 2: Take a bowl. Add 1 cup of rice flour, 1/2 tsp of kosher salt, and water. Mix it well until it comes together into a dough.

Step 3: Grab a small piece of dough and sha[e into a ball, mainly a bite-size. Place it on a plate and repeat until all of the dough has been used up.

Step 4: Add the rice balls into the boiling water and boil until they rise on the top.

Step 5: Take another bowl and add cold water to it. Drain the rice balls from the pot and add them to the cold water. Leave those for 3-5 minutes until they cool down. Drain them afterward.

Step 6: Take another bowl. Add 1/2 cup of roasted soy flour, 2 tbsp of caster sugar, some salt, and mix it well.

Step 7: Add rice balls and coat them with the mixture properly. After that, what’s left but serving?

The stretchy rice balls make for a very interesting mouthful. You really can’t stop with just one! Bon Appetit!

That’s the best I can give you for soy flour. Hope you will like my soy flour recipies. Do try all of them. Who knows, they might even turn into vegan, I guess.
