How to Make Devil Crabs?

It does not take much hassle to follow this recipe. Most of the ingredients can be found in your kitchen. You may need to get the crab meat fresh so the seafood filling feels amazing in your mouth. Ingredients That You Will Need Are:

Three loaves of stale white bread

One loaf of stale Cuban bread

One tablespoon of paprika

Five tablespoons of oil

Three medium-sized onions finely chopped

Half of a bell pepper finely chopped

Four mashed cloves of garlic

One teaspoon of crushed red pepper

Two bay leaves

Half a teaspoon of sugar

Salt, to taste

Six ounces of tomato paste

One pound of cleaned and shredded crab meat

One cup of cracker meal

Half a cup of flour

ground black pepper, to taste

Half a cup of milk

Two eggs

Method of Preparing the Seabreeze Tampa Bay Crab Step by Step:

Step 1: Remove the crusts from the loaves of bread by slicing the crusts off. In a bowl, pour some water and soak the white bread for about 3-4 minutes.

Step 2: Now, squeeze the water from the white bread. Drain the water but make sure it keeps a little moist.  Now, grind the Cuban bread. Add the Cuban bread to the white bread rough dough. Knead the bread together to form a smooth dough. Add salt and paprika to the dough, and mix well. Refrigerate for about 2 hours.

Step 3: Add some oil to a pan and fry together with the onion, bell pepper, red pepper, sugar, salt, bay leaves, tomato paste, and garlic. Stir and make the ingredients tender, cook for at least 15 minutes.

Step 5: Then, add the crab meat and cook well for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, cool, and refrigerate the filling for about 2 hours.

Step 6: After 2 hours, take the bread dough and crab filling out. Shape the dough, add filling in between and seal with more dough. Make sure there is no gap of holes. 

Step 7: Beat two eggs with milk, salt, and some black pepper. Brush the deviled crab rolls with the egg wash. 

Step 8: Mix some cracker meal and flour in a bowl. Keep it ready before frying. Toss the rolls in the cracker and flour mix.

Step 9: Fry the rolls in oil until the color is almost brown. Drain excess oil and serve with the condiments you prefer.
