How to Spice up Canned Green Beans:

Basically, cooking beans are spicing up the regular cooked canned beans. This is providing you the extra taste, flavour, mushiness and nutrition as well. All of the ingredients will be available if your kitchen! So, you are just 15 minutes away having this wonderful KFC green beans. 

Kfc Baked Beans Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. of green beans 
  • 1 cup of yellow onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup of bacon, finely diced
  • 1 cup of water (at room temperature) 
  • ½ tsp of Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil or vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup of red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder

How to Make KFC Beans Step by Step:

Step 1: Take out a medium sized saucepan, and pour 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oli or any type of cooking oil on medium-low heat. 

Step 2: When the extra virgin olive oil is warm enough, add 1 cup of finely chopped yellow onion, ¼ cup of finely chooped red bell pepper, and ¼ cup of finely diced bacon. Briefly saute over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. 

Step 3: After that, add 1 cup of water and continue cooking for another 3 to 5 minutes. 

Step 4: When the water inside is about to boil, then add 8 oz. of green beans, giving it a good stir. 

Step 5: Season the mixture with ½ tsp of kosher salt, 1 tsp of garlic powder and 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper. 

Step 6: Cook for 7 more minutes, and remove from the heat. 

Sprinkle some bacon beans and serve! This way is my favorite but you can add up as desired. 

Remember that canned green beans are already cooked so adding more minutes in cooking time will give it a mushy texture and will lose its nutrients. If you want to control its saltiness, drain and rinse with running water.

Conclusion: 

The calories in kfc green beans is almost negligible! Isn’t it great to have food without gaining any weight or no tension of having too much calories. Remember one thing canned beans are already cooked, so if you want your beans not mushy enough then don’t cook it for 7 minutes, make it 3 minutes max. Serve and enjoy!
