  • 1 ½ tsp of Kosher salt, or to taste
  • 2 tsp of freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

How to Make Salmon Spread Step by Step:

Step 1: First of all, you need to dress the salmon filet with 1 of extra virgin olive oil, 1 ½ tsp of kosher salt, 2 tsp of freshly ground black pepper. Coat finely so that there’s no spot untouched.

Step 2: Grease a baking pan with the remaining extra virgin olive oil, and place the filet.

Step 3: Placing the baking pan in the oven, set the oven at the temperature of 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Step 4: By this time, take out a small bowl, and add 8 oz. of cream cheese in the bowl. Using a fork, mash it and soften enough like moist soft dough to spread over.

Step 5: When the salmon done cooking, let it cool in the wire rack for 10 minutes.

Step 6: Spread the cream cheese over with a butter knife. Then drizzle the 2 tbsp of capers. Mix on both sides finely.

Step 7: Add up 2 tsp of cayenne pepper or as per your desired taste.

I like to have my salmon spread with liquid smoke. There’s another way, you can mix cream cheese, capers, and serve with desired scoop. If you like it spicy, then add up some more cayenne pepper.
