For Buttermilk Biscuits:

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup of cold buttermilk
  • 1/2 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of shortening

For Chicken:

  • 1 lb of chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup of pickle juice
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp of caster sugar
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grounded pepper
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • peanut oil
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp of onion powder

Methods of Preparing Step by Step:

Buttermilk Biscuits:

Step 1:

Start with the oven when you ready with all ingredients and mentally set up preparing chickfila biscuit. Preheat it to 425F.

Step 2:

Place 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, and 1 tsp of salt in a food processor. Add 1/4 cup of unsalted butter cubes and pulse several times until the grain crumbs form. Pour the mixture into a bowl.

Step 3:

Add 1/2 cup of buttermilk and 1/2 tbsp of honey in the center of the mixture. Stir it with a spatula until it is well combined. Do remember one thing, don’t overdo the dough.

Step 4:

Spread some flour on the kitchen counter. Place the dough there. Roll the dough to make a rectangle about one inch thick. If cracks are showing up, don’t panic. Gently push to fill the gaps.

Fold one side into the center and turn the other side horizontally. Flatten the dough gently. Repeat this process 6 times.

Step 5:

Roll the dough again into a rectangle until it is 1/2 inch thick. Now get the 3-inch pastry cutter or glasses if available. If any left out is available, re-roll to resize into the 3-inch shape.

Step 6:

Arrange the biscuits on a greased baking sheet. If any buttermilk available, help yourself to brush the biscuits. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown color appears on the top. Take off from the oven.

Chick-Fil-A Chicken

Step 7:

Start with pounding the chicken breasts. Pound it to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut it half afterward. 

Step 8:

Get a zip locked bag and place the chicken into it. Fill it with 1/3 cup of pickle juice, 2/3 cup of milk, and 2 eggs. Now give it a good squish to combine everything. Place the chicken in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Step 9:

Now, add 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs into the food processor and pulse until the coarse is in subtle texture. 

Step 10:

Get a bowl. Add the breadcrumbs, 1 cup of flour, 2 tbsp of sugar, 2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of chili powder, 1/2 tsp of onion powder, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of freshly grounded pepper, and whisk it all together.

Get the chicken out of the fridge and coat it in the bowl mixture and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 11:

Get the iron skillet. Deep it with oil about 1/2 inch. Raise the temperature to 350F. Fry each cutlet for 3 minutes per side.

Step 12:
