  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup of cold buttermilk
  • 1/2 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of shortening

For Chicken:

  • 1 lb of chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup of pickle juice
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp of caster sugar
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grounded pepper
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • peanut oil
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp of onion powder

Methods of Preparing Step by Step:

Buttermilk Biscuits:

Step 1:

Start with the oven when you ready with all ingredients and mentally set up preparing chickfila biscuit. Preheat it to 425F.

Step 2:

Place 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, and 1 tsp of salt in a food processor. Add 1/4 cup of unsalted butter cubes and pulse several times until the grain crumbs form. Pour the mixture into a bowl.

Step 3:

Add 1/2 cup of buttermilk and 1/2 tbsp of honey in the center of the mixture. Stir it with a spatula until it is well combined. Do remember one thing, don’t overdo the dough.

Step 4:

Start with pounding the chicken breasts. Pound it to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut it half afterward. 

Step 8:

Get a zip locked bag and place the chicken into it. Fill it with 1/3 cup of pickle juice, 2/3 cup of milk, and 2 eggs. Now give it a good squish to combine everything. Place the chicken in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Step 9:

Now, add 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs into the food processor and pulse until the coarse is in subtle texture. 

Step 10:

Get a bowl. Add the breadcrumbs, 1 cup of flour, 2 tbsp of sugar, 2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of chili powder, 1/2 tsp of onion powder, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of freshly grounded pepper, and whisk it all together.

Get the chicken out of the fridge and coat it in the bowl mixture and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 11:

Get the iron skillet. Deep it with oil about 1/2 inch. Raise the temperature to 350F. Fry each cutlet for 3 minutes per side.

Step 12:
