Traditional Eggnog Recipe:

This traditional eggnog can make you nostalgic. This recipe of egg nog cocktail is damn easy, yet it doesn’t dwindle its popularity at all. I still remember how I and my cousins steal eggnog from fridges. With many more sweet memories, I have written this recipe with crystal clear instructions.

Ingredients We Need for Alton Eggnog:

  • 4 large eggs (yolks and egg white separated)
  • 1/3 cup of sugar+ 1 tsp.
  • 1 pint of whole milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 ¼ ounces of bourbon
  • 1 ¼ ounces of dark rum
  • 1 tsp of freshly grated nutmeg

How to Make Classic Eggnog Step by Step:

Step 1: Bring out a large bowl and add 4 egg yolks. With a hand mixer, beat them finely until the color fades.

Step 2: Then gradually add 1/3 cup of sugar in 2 or 3 batches, helping to beat finely. After sometimes, you will notice the sugar is completely dissolved with a super light yellow color.

Step 3: Then in that bowl one by one add 1 pint of whole milk, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 ¼ ounces of bourbon. 1 ¼ ounces of dark rum, and 1 tsp of freshly grated eggnog nutmeg. Beat then together until well-combined.

Step 4: In another mixing bowl, transfer the egg whites. Beat until you have soft peaks.

Step 5: With the mixer still running on, add 1 tsp of sugar. Beat it until you get stiff peaks.

Step 6: Now gently fold in the yolk-wine mixture to fluffy egg whites.

Pour them into 6 glasses or more (depending on the size of your glass). Place them into the fridge fpr at least 2 hours before serving.

Make your family gathering, parties, weekends special and delicious with the sip of classic eggnog. While preparing eggnog, make sure you beat the ingredients with ultimate patience. Give your cooking journey another great tasty gift.
