Trisha Yearwood Meatloaf Recipes

We all know about Trisha Yearwood. If you don’t know her let me tell you that she is a well-known musician. She is also a cook in her leisure time. In recent years, her meatloaf recipes are getting popular, that you, food lovers already know. She also has a cookbook of her own. Not to mention again, what’s the best in her cookbook. 

Last week my little daughter asked me for cooking meatloaf. I thought for a while and the idea of preparing Trisha’s one hit in my mind. At my second try, I have prepared her basic meatloaf and then the others.

Hell! I was so excited preparing those at a time that my father told me to stop having meatloaf on every meal. Anyways, here is my top trisha yearwood meatloaf recipes in written version.

Meatloaf

This homemade trisha yearwood meatloaf recipe is top to the notch. The meatloaf here is full of juice and tenderness. The glaze inside is full of sweetness. A bit of mashed potato on the side finishes the story. Let’s jump into the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of lean ground beef
  • 20 crumbled saltine crackers
  • 1 large-sized egg
  • 1/2 cup of tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of pepper
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • slices of white bread
  • fresh lettuce leaves
  • tomato slices, for making sandwiches 

Directions for Preparation Step by Step:

Step 1:

Let’s start with the oven. Preheat it to 350F.

Step 2:

Get a stand mixer. Add 2 lbs of lean ground beef, 20 crumbled saltine crackers, 1 large-sized egg, 1/2 cup of tomato ketchup, 1 tbsp of yellow mustard, 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of pepper, and 1/2 diced yellow onion in the mixer. Mix the ingredients until well blended. 

Step 3:

Get the mixture out. Now, shape the mixture. Make it into two loaves. Set these aside.

Step 4:

Get a 9″ by 13″ pan. Place the meatloaves on the side crosswise. Now, off to the oven. Bake the loaves for around 1 hour. These will be browned by then.

Step 5:

Get the loaves out of the oven. Quickly transfer them into a platter. Set the loaves aside and let them cool a bit. After that, they will be firm enough to slice.

Step 6:

Get the white bread slices. Now, cut 2 slices from the meatloaf and place those on the bread slices. After that, add fresh lettuce leaves and sliced tomatoes. 

This is perfect for a cold evening. Serve the popular trisha meatloaf and enjoy!

Turkey Meatloaf

Alike trisha yearwood pot roast recipes, this meatloaf here is made of Turkey meat. You will be finding some extra breadcrumbs on the top with the taste of tomato ketchup. Both of these really gets along with the turkey meat. This is an easy meatloaf saltine crackers if the breadcrumbs are not available. Hope you will enjoy this as well. Let’s get into it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 small-sized onions, chop 1 and cut the other one into half-moon slices
  • 3 tbsp of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 and 1/2 lbs of dark ground turkey meat
  • 3/4 cup + 3 tbsp of seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 large-sized egg
  • 1/4 cup + 3 tbsp of tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp of kosher salt, more for sprinkling
  • 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper, more for sprinkling

Directions for Preparation Step by Step:

Step 1:

Let’s start with the oven. Preheat it to 350F.

Step 2:

Get a medium-sized skillet. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil and heat over medium-low settings. Don’t burn the oil.

It will smoke when the oil is burnt. Now, add 1 medium-sized chopped onion. Saute the onion until it softens and browns. It will take about 6 minutes. 

Step 3:

Now, add 3 tbsp of freshly chopped parsley. Cook for another minute. After that, set it aside.

Step 4:

Get a large mixing bowl. Add 1 and 1/2 lbs of dark ground turkey meat, 3/4 cup of seasoned breadcrumbs, 1 large-sized egg, 1/4 cup of tomato ketchup, 1 tsp of kosher salt, 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper, and the cooked onion in the bowl. Mix the ingredients until well blended.

Step 3:

Get the mixture out. Now, shape the mixture. Make it into a loaf. Set it aside. 

Step 4:

Get a 9″ by 13″ pan. Place the meatloaf on the side crosswise. Brush the meatloaf with a pastry brush with some tomato ketchup. After that, scatter the sliced onions evenly over the loaf.

Drizzle some olive oil, and sprinkle some salt and pepper. Now, off to the oven. Bake the loaves for around 1 hour. These will be browned by then.

Step 5:

Get the loaf out of the oven. Transfer it into a platter. Set it aside and let it cool down a bit. It will be firm enough to slice after that.

Buttery Turkey Meatloaf

Buttery turkey meatloaf is another of my choices to show you. The dark ground turkey meat is more flavored with tomato ketchup. A bit of buttery flavor made it a popular dish in south-western cuisine. Let’s jump into this trisha meatloaf with crackers recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 cup of onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 and a quarter lbs of dark ground turkey meat
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 large-sized egg
  • 3/4 cup of tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper

Directions for Preparation Step by Step:

Step 1:

Get a skillet. Add 2 tbsp of butter. Melt it.

Step 2:

Now, add 1 cup of chopped onion and 3 minced garlic cloves to the skillet. Stir occasionally.

Step 3:

After that, pour the mixture into a large bowl and set it aside to cool for about 5 minutes.

Step 4:

Combine 1 and quarter lbs of dark ground turkey meat, 1/2 cup of bread crumbs, 1 beaten large-sized egg, 1/4 cup of the tomato ketchup, 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, 3/4 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of black pepper with the cooled down onion mixture.

Step 5:

Get an 8″ by 4″ loaf pan. Press the meatloaf into the pan. After that, spread the remaining tomato ketchup on the loaf pan. Off to the oven.

Step 6:

Bake the meatloaf at 350F for about 50-55 minutes.

Step 7:

Remove the loaf pan from the oven. Let it cool for around 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy this unique trisha yearwood turkey meatloaf recipe!

Conclusion

The turkey meat-stuffed meatloaf is really delicious and mostly tooth-biting to the last bite. With the additional tomato ketchup, the turkey meat infused a bit more with the help of buttery smoothness. Believe me; you will lick to the last finger.
