I’m super excited about my today’s article, as after a month’s try, I have finally succeeded with the special trader joe’s mediterranean hummus recipe. If you haven’t been to Trader Joe’s, you won’t have any idea why I am sharing this with this much excitement.

Let me tell you, though I have tried it to do almost copycat, but there has been a little variation. So, basically! I have recreated this one and it has turned out absolutely tasty. 

Trader Joe’s Hummus Recipe:

These special mediterranean humus have various spice along with flavor combination that provides every foodies a heavenly taste every time. Besides, the creamy, smooth, lemony texture along with all your favorite ingredients ensures a perfect taste in every bite. So let’s check out the special mediterranean hummus trader joe’s recipe.

Trader Joe’s Hummus Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of garbanzo beans, I prefer chickpeas, drained (about 2 cans)
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 6 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • 2 tbsp of tahini
  • 1 1/4 tsp of Kosher salt
  • zest of 1 large lemon
  • Juice of 2 large lemons, ½ cup
  • 1/4 tsp of cumin
  • 1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 cup of hot water

Methods of Preparing Mediterranean Humus Step by Step: 

Step 1: Take out a food processor, and pulse the minced garlic cloves for 30 seconds. 

Step 2: Then gradually add 3cups of garbanzo beans, 6 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tbsp of tahini, 1 ¼ tsp of kosher salt, lemon zest, lemon juice, cumin, and ½ tsp of red pepper. Run the food processor for 3 to 4 minutes 

Step 3: After 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stream in the hot water, while the food processor is operating. Continue processing until you get your desired consistency. 

Step 4: When done, you will find it very smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper if needed, also you can add more water to gain your type consistency. 

Step 5: When done, set up a bit in the fridge. Now, pour the hummus into an air tight container. For better result, let it chill in the fridge overnight.  

When they are ready to serve, drizzle some more extra virgin olive oil, and sprinkle the crushed red pepper flakes. If you follow the decoration of tender joe’s, then you can top with pine nuts, dried parsley, and dehydrated bell pepper for getting the spicy flavour. 

Conclusion: 

If you want to enjoy this special dish at home, then do follow the recipe directions step by step. This extremely flavorful side dishes can be enjoyed with rice, mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli, etc. When you prepare this, make sure you wait for a whole night to enjoy the taste blast.
